Song, Sadhana & Silence
Solstice Weekend
Kingfisher Bay Retreat - On, Canada
This retreat is a celebration of the joy of a heartfelt coming together. It is an opportunity to join together in kirtan, singing sacred chants that open the heart, and to open the body, emotions, and energy through the gifts of Yoga and Qigong, as well as to rest together in stillness and peace. It is also a space to connect with such beautiful land and waters, and to be in community with others in a relaxed but focused way.
Solstice & Seasonal Transition
The solstice weekend of June 18-21, 2026 is a time of peak yang in TCM/Qigong, and correspondingly of great extroversion in Yoga/Ayurveda. During this time, we will explore movements and practices that help bring presence and clarity to the impacts that the season has on our mind, body and emotions, to help harmonize imbalances that can arise, while also harnessing the supportive energies present at this time of year. These will be resources to inspire not only now but for years and solstices to come.
The practices are designed to support stability, ease, and vitality in the body, openness and quiet in the heart, and inspiration in the mind.
Location & Setting
Taking place at the beautiful Kingfisher Bay Retreat Centre on Stoney Lake, we will have the opportunity to practice in an indoor space overlooking the lake, as well as on a screened-in porch and balcony for Kirtan, breathwork and meditation.
We love this location, as it offers both the comfort and ease of beautiful accommodations, as well as a feeling of nature immersion, with its lake front view and 27 acres of land.
We intend to make the most of this connection to nature, with potential campfire Kirtans, guided meditation walks, Kirtan in the kayaks or by the water, etc.

The Gifts of:
Kirtan & Mantra
There will be multiple opportunities to sing together, to dive deep into mantra, and to experience the meaning and essence of the chants and what they bring into our lives.
Kirtan will be accompanied by Alexander’s powerful percussive presence. Beyond the sonic landscape he creates, there is a depth of presence in his rhythms that carry the kirtan—allowing one to feel carried by the mantras in an ease of non-doing and stillness of mind.
Qigong – Fire Element
In Qigong, we will be working especially with the fire element—the element of summer—which relates to the heart, small intestine, heart protector, and triple heater.
This element relates to our capacity to connect: with others, with our work, and with what brings us joy. It also supports the transformation of the heaviness of sorrow into the lightness of joy.
This is a powerful time for this transformation, though it is also a time when the fire element can become excessive—leading to overstimulation, over-connection, and a scattering of energy across many interests, sometimes losing connection to what is most essential.
Through Five Element Qigong, we will support the health of these organs and cultivate an authentic connection to what is essential.
Taijiwuxigong
Works directly with the extraordinary meridians and the body’s core energetic architecture. This internal practice builds upon the open and balanced meridian flow that we cultivate in the 5 elements Qi Gong.
These are simple yet powerful movements that support self-healing, release tension (bin-qi), activate the dantian, and open the body—especially through the spine—into a more aligned and vital state.
When the dantian becomes active, it begins to circulate yuan qi — original vital force — through the central, front, back and side channels, bringing presence, clarity and health to body, mind and spirit.
Yoga & Ayurveda
Alongside this, we will be offering Yoga sessions and Ayurvedic inspirations that support harmony, vitality, and attunement to the season.
From the perspective of Yoga and Ayurveda, the solstice is a time of heightened outward energy, heat, movement, and intensity. It can be a beautiful time of expansion, creativity, brightness, and connection, but it can also bring excess—depletion, irritability, restlessness, and a loss of inner steadiness.
Through Yoga, deep breaths, restful reminders, and seasonal Ayurvedic teachings, we will explore ways of working skillfully with this threshold—supporting the body to feel open yet grounded, the heart to feel steady and clear, and the mind to feel bright without becoming scattered.
The yoga offered will be both enlivening and regulating: opening the body, circulating Prana, and creating space, while also helping to quiet the nervous system and reconnect us to a deeper inner rhythm. Ayurveda will offer a complementary lens through which to understand the qualities of the season, along with simple and practical wisdom for staying balanced and nourished during this time of transition, including a mini-workshop on seasonal foods and cooking.
About us:
Hearts calling is a unique blend of Kirtan and Medicine Music music mixed with spiritually inspired heart hop and poetry. Whether singing deep soulful melodies or danceable chants, Fraser/Rishi and Dana’s Kirtans are grounding and meditative, as well as energizing and uplifting.
Their inner journey started many years ago but really came to fruition after traveling to India in 2006, where they discovered the power of Yoga and Kirtan. In 2010 Fraser completed his first yoga teacher training, and soon they would both return to India to complete a RYT 200 training with their original teacher, Pankaj Seth. In 2015, they met their root spiritual teacher, Mooji Baba, from whom Fraser received the name Rishi.
In addition to regular Kirtans and classes, they host retreats and have shared their art, hearts and practice across Canada, as well as in Europe and India.
Rishi has been teaching Qi Gong and Tai Chi for over a decade, has competed a one year 5 elements Qi Gong teacher mentorship with Mimi Kuo Deemer and has been authorized to teach Taijiwuxigong by Andy Henry.
Tiffany and Alexander are partners in life and teaching, devoted to guiding others into the heart of truth, connection, and sacred presence. Together, they weave decades of immersion in Yoga, Ayurveda, Meditation, and the healing wisdom of Tantra and Young Men’s Work into offerings that are both grounded and luminous. Tiffany, an International Teacher and Ayurvedic Doctor, shares powerful transmissions steeped in Classical Hatha Yoga, Ayurveda, and the timeless essence of Advaita Vedanta. Alexander, a coach, mentor, and facilitator, creates spaces for self-knowing, growth, and deep authenticity, drawing on archetypal psychology, Integral frameworks, and the ancient teachings of Yoga and Tantra.
Their partnership intends towards a living expression of devotion—rooted in ancient lineages and alive with the pulse of the present. Together, they offer immersive retreats, alchemical trainings, and intimate sessions that invite profound self-recognition, soulful transformation, and the remembrance of our essential wholeness. Their work is an honest invitation to step fully into the sacredness of life, where each moment together becomes an anchoring possibility to know the beauty of the Heart.
